Like many food businesses experiencing growth, La Panciata was starting to feel the “weight” of a retail presence that didn’t match their brand or the quality of their products. My family and I are long-time La Panciata fans. Our sons can’t have a grilled cheese if it’s not on La Panciata bread (and I don’t blame them). Rival was asked to steward the brand forward through an update of their packaging. La Panciata was ready to graduate from stock bakery bags with labels to fully printed pouches—a decision that would help sales as well as shelf life. It’s hard to say which is more important!
Upon delivering the final designed pouches, La Panciata announced they had gone to a large, local health food grocer a few weeks before and with just our design printouts, were able to land a full aisle display for their breadcrumbs and stuffing just in time for Thanksgiving. The grocer didn’t even need to see the real deal. Now that is R.O.I.
